IAU coders is a space for students to share their passion for programming and computers. We focus on writing code, building things we love, and creating a supportive learning environment.

Community Structure

We operate on a level-based system to track and encourage progress:

  1. null
  2. bit
  3. byte
  4. coder
  5. builder
  6. kernel

Members start at ‘null’ level and advance by earning points through completing programming tasks. Each level requires 1000 points to advance.

Programming Challenges

  • we are creating some programming challenges and we started now with Codewars Tasks
  • more new style challenges to come

Values

Self-Learning

We emphasize continuous learning beyond university curricula. Our community shares resources and provides tutorials for skills not covered in traditional coursework.

Building Projects

We prioritize practical experience through building real projects. Github portfolios carry more weight than certificates.

Collaboration

We encourage teamwork through project collaboration, code reviews, and knowledge sharing. Our community thrives on mutual support.

Respect

Maintaining respect and humility towards fellow community members is fundamental to our culture.

We welcome suggestions and ideas to help build this community together. Together, we can create a strong foundation for learning and growth in programming.
